Francine Fernandez
VMD
Francine has worked at the VMD since 2008 in varying roles, although the majority of her time has been spent as part of the team responsible for assessing human and environmental safety data submitted in support of applications for new veterinary medicines. With a background in environmental toxicology, her primary focus throughout her career has been environmental safety and she is currently the senior environmental safety assessor within her team. Recently, she has led on the VMD's involvement within the pharmaceutical in the environment (PiE) cross government initiative.
