Congress is for everyone!

BSAVA Editor
Elevate your veterinary practice by immersing yourself in an enriching experience at BSAVA Congress 2024! We’ve curated a programme that caters to your professional growth, from clinical updates to non-clinical skills, and hands-on practical sessions. Dive into the latest research with the clinical abstract sessions and Vet Nurse case reports, or visit our Exhibition Theatre for our exhibitor led CPD. There truly is something for everyone at BSAVA Congress.

Are you a Vet Nurse? Head on over to our module on Primary Care Nursing on Saturday 23 March in the Exchange Auditorium and Charter 1. This module will cover everything from ‘What is an RVN allowed to do?’ with speakers Sophie McMurrough and Kelly Eyre, ‘Day in the Life of’ dramas focusing on nursing clinics, and behaviour, puppy, and kitten consults.

When discussing the puppy and kitten consults, Kelly Eyre RVN, who is the Module Lead for Primary Care Nursing says, “We often forget how important it is to support our owners when they take on a new puppy or kitten. There’s SO much information out there, and by being confident as nurses in providing this early source of information to our owners, we can increase the chances of forming a client bond, and ultimately improve the welfare of our patients.” “Speaking on this topic are two fantastic, highly knowledgeable speakers in their field, Georgia Woods-Lee, and Laura Watson. Both are nurses, and such engaging speakers, and I’m very much looking forward to this session!”

If you’re a Practice Manager or Clinical Director, why not head to our module on Culture in Central 5-7 on Thursday 21 March, where speakers Alan Robinson and Tessa Plagis will be discussing how to create a culture roadmap for your practice. A panel discussion with Dr Jenny Guvat, Olivia Oginska and Alan will also see them delving into the topic of current culture of vet practice and the existing challenges.
