In this lecture we will discuss frequently asked questions regarding canine hyperadrenocorticism (HAC). We will discuss when it is appropriate to test for HAC, the pros and cons of the available diagnostic tests and also how to interpret them correctly. We will also discuss commonly encountered situations such as- whether we can test for Cushing’s in a patient receiving steroid therapy or in an unstable diabetic patient. In addition, we will review available monitoring protocols for patients receiving trilostane therapy.
